This picture was taken at the solfatar near Lake Myvatn. This area used to be mined for sulphur by the Danish crown. The print shows a selection of mineral salts as well as a small vent-hole.

This picture was taken near the Dettifoss falls. These falls are the most powerful in Europe, yet photographically, the best opportunities are to be found a little upstream amidst black sands and bleached boulders.

This picture was taken on the beach at Vik. The black gravel is eroded basalt brought down from the glaciers. The finer grains form a continuous background while the larger pebbles withstand the force of the wind and sit atop their monticules.

This picture was taken at Iceland's northern-most point on the day of summer soltice. The camera was pointed north at the Pole. Although taken at midnight, there is little sign of the sun. The thick cloud gives the strong blue cast.
