Glyderau

The Glyderau are a long ridge extending from Bethesda in the west to Capel Curig in the east, wedged between the Carneddau and the Snowdon massif. They are thus central to the Snowdonia mountains, a massive presence from many vantage points and equally a superb viewing platform itself. Photographically, it is also blessed with some superb scenery of its own: the view along the ridge from Carnedd y Filiast, the twin peaks of Y Garn, the rocks of Glyder fach and fawr, the shapely summit of Tryfan. The contrast between the rounded, more grassy southern side and the craggy, ridged northern side is also a rich theme.
